Second in popularity only to the escargot for edible snails, the "meat" of the conch is used as food, either eaten raw, as in salads, or cooked, as in fritters, chowders, gumbos, and burgers.    This doorknocker is sand-cast in yellow or red brass, with a choice of nickel plate or oiled bronze.  Measures 7.5 W x 4.25 H.  All Colby Smith door knockers are made to order.
